WINDOWS · VERSION 10.14.87
A reader, practice space and composer.
- Explore supported notes, chords, rests, rhythms, lyrics and supplied guitar TAB string and fret information.
- Move by musical position and measure; inspect detailed music and opening facts such as tuning and capo.
- Hear local practice previews, choose available sounds, change speed, set a count-in and repeat selected passages.
- Keep bookmarks and written practice notes, and export accessible readings.
- Use keyboard commands, a screen reader or a Braille display. Optional local Windows Voice control provides supported spoken app commands.
- Write music in the composer with keyboard entry, named controls or supported musical phrases. Review changes, save a working project and export MusicXML.
- Compose for supported piano, guitar, ukulele, solo voice, strings, harp, percussion and ensembles.
- Use guided lessons and supplied original practice samples.
Windows also offers PDF recognition and AI repair workflows. Recognised music can contain errors or missing passages; keep the original for comparison. The Windows Word manual explains the available routes and limitations.

A focused reading and practice app.
Tested on BrailleSense 7
Android is a smaller companion app with native controls and keyboard shortcuts. BrailleSense 6 and Android phones have not been tested.
- Import supported Guitar Pro, MusicXML/MXL and text readings; select a part.
- Move between positions and measures. Go directly to a measure or a measure and beat, including decimal beats.
- Read supplied physical string and fret pairs, with zero meaning an open string. Staff-only notes retain pitch names.
- Recall tuning and capo, read detailed information and keep your current place.
- Save accessible readings locally, with general notes, position notes and bookmarks.
- Save named whole-measure practice passages; jump to them or play them.
- Hear basic local playback of supported structured music with two sounds and speed from 25 to 200 percent.
- Export readable text, optionally including practice notes, and export the retained original file.
- Ask optional written ChatGPT questions with whole-piece context for the selected part, practice notes and follow-up conversation.
- Find the keystroke list from each screen, including Braille dot references.
Android does not include the Windows composer or PDF recognition. Playback follows written order once; printed repeats and expressive effects are not fully performed. Plain text alone does not provide playable notes.
Download the Android beginner guide (RTF) →OPTIONAL CONNECTIONS
Ask about your music.
Reading and local practice do not require ChatGPT. Optional AI features require an internet connection and an eligible service connection, with the provider’s limits and any charges.
Android supports a ChatGPT-plan connection or an explicitly selected OpenAI API key. Questions include the whole open reading for the selected part, its current position, supplied string and fret information, and practice notes. Completed questions and answers stay in the conversation for follow-up corrections. A request that exceeds the app’s size limit is reported rather than silently cutting the music.
Windows offers written ChatGPT questions and a separate spoken AI teacher. The spoken teacher uses its own API connection. AI answers and transcriptions can be mistaken; check them against the music.
BRING YOUR MUSIC
Start with a supported file.
Windows: supported Guitar Pro, MusicXML/MXL, MuseScore, text TAB and chord or lyric charts, plus PDF workflows.
Android: Guitar Pro 3/4/5, GPX and newer GP, MusicXML/MXL, native SpeakTab saved text, plain text and SpeakTab Markdown.
Support depends on the file’s contents and the importer. A file opening successfully does not certify its musical accuracy. Try the manuals and original practice files for a first reading.
